Absolutely Fantastic!

Paxton & Brown often cater for couples who choose Barley Wood for their wedding venue, and we can't recommend them enough. Top marks for professionalism and most importantly, the food! Their food is absolutely delicious and presented beautifully! The staff is excellent, friendly and so helpful for the couples in terms of helping plan their special day. They also treat their staff very well, which ultimately results in smiling faces and great service from the staff to the guests.

Food at Barley Wood House

Amazing food! We loved it all. We met with James & Ben at the venue a few months before the date to discuss things. From what we loved to even the groom having his own dessert! They had menu samples, but we discussed what we would want & we we’re not limited. They took on board our ideas & came back 10 days later or so with a menu. They had no problem in changing things or even being within our budget. On the day the staff were amazing & were willing to assist with any query. From canapés, to massive Yorkshire puddings, family friendly crumbles & a ploughman evening platter!

We found Paxton & Brown through visiting another venue we were looking at before we found the venue of Barley Wood for our wedding. When getting in touch with Paxton & Brown we arranged to meet up at the venue to go through menu options as well as them to look at what was available for them to use at the venue. We discussed some options from their menu, but Paxton & Brown really encouraged us to tell them what food we loved & ideas we had, they took this all on board. They are willing to adapt & come into your budget & have a very professional approach to this. The food was amazing on the day of the wedding & the staff were well presented & willing to help where possible. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was from canapés, roast beef & the massive Yorkshire pudding mean people couldn’t resist, the groom getting his own dessert & the ploughman platter for the evening food which was devoured! Thanks again for such an amazing service for our special day!
