Get to know your supplier. Meet them face to face and you will know if you gel. You need to be able to trust them and be able to ask them as many questions as feel necessary. This is so important to help the day run smoothly

Couple makes an enquiry, i respond by asking for a little back ground information about the kind of food they are looking for and the way they see their day. I then prepare some menu ideas for them, email them back, if they like the ideas we arrange a complimentary face to face consultation, finalise the menus and any additions they may require, i then produce a full quote, request a booking fee and a signed copy of or terms and conditions. When they are received the date is secured in the diary. I then see the couple around 6-8 weeks before the wedding to finalise the day, then again usually the day or two before the wedding to check on table plans , then of course when they have said I DO
