Where would I begin? There was the one where the bride had arranged real life replicas of the Starwars cast to turn up midway through the ceremony. There was the one where they had a marquee filled with inflatable penguins. There was the one where the best man had arranged for a troupe of breakdancers to come in and take over the first dance. I have so many fantastic memories from the weddings I've worked over the years, it'd be impossible to pinpoint the "most" memorable! Every wedding is special and memorable in its own way - as cheesy as that may sound!
Again, a hard question to answer! After every single wedding, I end it on a complete high because I am SO proud of the service my team and I achieve and deliver, time and time again.
Remember it is YOUR day. It's not your sisters, not your mothers, not your mother-in-law-to-be's, not your photographers, not your wedding planners, and not anybody else's but YOURS!
Usually there are a fair few emails back and forth to determine what kind of service you're looking for and roughly how much this would cost. Generally, we would then arrange for you to come and visit us for a tasting session and a chat about everything from the food to the way you met, to your pets and how you're planning your wedding day to run.
We catered for a couple in a 16th century manor on a Scottish island and they asked for a medieval themed menu. We came up with a number of dishes that were both visually appealing and gastronomically impressive, whilst also managing to fit in with a medieval era - when they wouldn't have had access to the range of kitchen equipment and ingredients we have now! For example, for dessert we prepared red wine poached pears served with honey comb and ice cream, and honey pannacotta with ginger and date cake and baked fruit.
We could say something cheesy like "honey, because it's so sweet like love", but we won't. The food of love is whatever food you love!
Maldons sea salt, butter, cream.... surely any good chef couldn't disagree! Or are we supposed to say "love"?
