Honestly I don’t have one memorable wedding! I have loved every single wedding I’ve been lucky to be a part of all for different reasons. My favourite ones are the ones where my couples have asked my advice about other areas of their day and asked for help with styling etc. I am so passionate about my job I love being thrown right in!
Pretty, stylish, modern, on trend, elegant
That my husband and I have built it up from nothing. I (Carly) started off just making cupcake gift boxes and through sheer passion and determination have grown the business into what it is today and now have my husbands help because we are too busy for me to manage on my own. I am very proud of that and of the reputation we have worked tirelessly to achieve.
Do your research! With all of your suppliers. Don’t book on a whim at wedding fayres. Ask for recommendations from friends and your venue...quite often your venue will have recommended supplier lists. I have heard so many horror stories of people being let down by their suppliers it really does pay to do your research. And if a deal/offer seems too good to be true, it usually is. Most of all, enjoy the planning! You will miss it when the wedding is over.
I have seen LOADS! I love them all! But in particular I love the pimp your prosecco bars, the individual styling of each venue, the backdrops. I have a wedding this year where she’s having her dessert table and cake on a custom made gold garden swing which I am SUPER excited about!
Usually the couple will get in touch and ask if we have have availability for their date and venue. If we do then we will discuss brief ideas via email and I can give a rough idea of price. If they’re happy with this the next step would be to arrange a face to face consultation at our little cake studio at our home address where we’ll go into the design in more detail while sampling some of our flavours and drinking tea! It’s a tough job really
Probably anything with sugar flowers and ruffles. We are also loving the sparkle at the moment. Our signature flavour would have to be our sticky toffee cake, we’ve had some amazing feedback about it
Ummmm probably a cake we did this year for Lana and Rhys at Llanerch Vineyard. They wanted a cake that looked like a block of wood. Very different and original and I absolutely loved making it. We also made a unicorn cake in July for Emily and Matt’s wedding at Coed Y Mwstwr which was really cool. Have a look on our Instagram for photos of them!
Completely by accident! I started up the business after deciding to make a cake for my little boys first birthday and quickly being inundated with orders from friends and family for different cupcake gift boxes. I bought a few cutters to get by, started up a Facebook page and the business grew way beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I did a wedding cake class with Cotton and Crumbs after my first year in business and that was what launched us into the world of weddings. We haven’t looked back since!
Would have to be an extravagant tiered wedding cake accompanied by a cute dessert table. We have become quite well know for our pretty cake displays with macarons, cake pops etc on.
