Floral, pretty, personal, classy, luxury
I am most proud of my training and qualifications. I pride myself on keeping myself up to date with the new trends and constantly learning and improving my techniques.
Be realistic about your budget. It's easy to run away with your dreams and ideas for your perfect day, but most people have a budget to follow, and that's absolutely fine. Be honest with your suppliers and let them design a perfect cake, flowers etc for you to suit your budget. Many will explain where you can cut costs and which bits you should spend more on.
My signature cake is definitely cakes that include sugar paste flowers. This is something I absolutely love to make and am very passionate about making sure every flower is perfect to give such a realistic look on a cake.
The most original creation I have baked would have to have been my very first wedding cake which was over 8 years ago! It was a cake based on the theme 'Something old, something new, something borrowed & something blue' and included a tier which was identical to the Bride's aunt's wedding cake 20 years previously. It was so lovely to bake something so personal to the couple and their families and I spent a lot of time designing this to make it perfect for them.
