I loved creating a dark and autumnal semi naked cake at Sandhole oak barn, there’s something special about an Autumn wedding.
Modern, elegant, stylish, delicious, designer
The level I’ve built it up to in a short space of time. I’m proud of doing it by myself.
Think about the vibe/style rather than the details. Let the suppliers you choose design for you after all they’re the professionals and that’s what you pay them for.
I love stationery and to see a couples personality on that is always wonderful.
Usually an initial email/phone call correspondence to make sure that we’re right for each other and that dates are available, also to get a good idea of their style. Sample box posted, then either a face to face consultation or further phone call/email and quote. Deposit payment and design process started. Further design consultation. Final balance payment is due a month before the wedding and this is where we absolutely finalise the design, then work starts on sugar flowers or speaking with other suppliers such as florists and the venue. Finally delivery and set up on the day.
I create elegant designs, nothing overly fussy. I love flowers so often my cakes have beautiful sugar or fresh flowers on.
I did a peanut butter, maple and candied bacon cake for a couple!
I started making birthday cakes (still do make them) and a couple asked if I’d make their wedding cake as they’d never tasted a cake as good as mine...so I gave it a go and was hooked.
A tiered fondant cake with graphic hand painted design and sugar flowers. Sticky toffee flavour
