Can I choose my own?!
Modern, elegant, timeless, impactful, luxury
That’s I’m pretty much self taught. My skill level has evolved over a number of years due to a lot of practise, perseverance and being a total perfectionist!
Get to know your suppliers and choose people you genuinely connect with - make sure they get you and your vision for your wedding.
A specific flower chosen for a brides bouquet because her grandad used to grow them in his garden and he was no longer with them.
Typically my couples would enquire to see if I have availability first. If I do, they would pay a £100 booking fee to secure their date. They are welcome to order a tasting box before booking if they’d like to try my cake first. Approximately 4-6 months before their wedding, we would meet for a design and tasting consultation where they would try different flavours and tell me all about them and their wedding. I would then sketch some designs for them to choose from. I will then send them an email about 6 weeks before their wedding to confirm all of the details for their cake. I will liaise directly with the venue and other suppliers to arrange delivery and setup of their cake. The final balance for their cake is due 1 month before their wedding.
Multi-tiered, elegant sugar paste cakes with sharp edges and a modern style. Often adorned with sugar flowers displays, textured design elements and pops of colour
I once made a very tall, multi-tiered contemporary square cake in midnight blue with gold sugar blossoms shaped into a crescent to compliment the celestial theme of the couples wedding.
I had a number of years running a celebration cake business and started getting requests for wedding cakes. After delivering my first wedding cake, despite the stress and nerves, I knew immediately that this was where I wanted to take my business.
It would definitely be a cake (I’m hopeless at bread and pastry!) - it would be something very structural that had a real wow factor - it would be bold and contemporary and would push the boundaries!
