Hi, I'm Eilidh 👋

I'm Eilidh and I run The Little Croft Bakery on The Black Isle. I solely bake for weddings as when I'm not baking I'm a Primary Teacher in a local school. I started my business in 2015 from my home and in 2020 I opened a dedicated separate kitchen. A couple times a year you can catch me hosting a pop up café - this is the perfect place for you to try some of my bakes before you make your final decisions.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I started my business from scratch in 2015. I began creating bespoke birthday cakes and selling cakes at local craft fayres before moving into the wonderful world of weddings in 2019.

I now focus solely on Wedding Dessert Tables and run a pop up tearoom a couple of times a year with a local venue.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't let the stress take over. Everyone you work with loves weddings and wants to make sure you have the most magical day possible!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Photographs of guest who were not able to be there.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We'll start by checking if I can offer you what you are looking for and ensuring your wedding date is available.

Then we can either confirm all the details over the phone or via email - which ever works best for you. This can go back and fore a bit until you have everything you are looking for and that is totally fine!

I just ask that all details are confirmed 1 month before your wedding when the balance is due to be paid and then everything is ready to go.

What is your signature cake?

My most popular would be a lemon and white chocolate.

Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.

It all began when I baked and decorated my daughter's 1st birthday cake.
