Describe your typical process with a couple.
Gather information about cake requirements through initial enquiry. Provide a guide quote, of which couples pay 50% to secure booking should they wish to proceed. We organise a cake consultation and tasting where the cake details are firmed up and a revised quote is provided if necessary. Delivery and set up at the venue are standard, but may be subject to delivery costs dependant on location.
What is your signature cake?
My own wedding cake - lemon sponge with lemon curd and white chocolate buttercream!
What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?
A Cornwall inspired semi-naked cake - vanilla sponge with strawberry flecks, strawberry jam and clotted cream buttercream, decorated with fresh flowers.
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
Baking is like therapy for me and I was adamant that I wanted to make my own wedding cake, even though my family thought it was a mad idea! From there I have been asked to make wedding cakes for friends and family. I loved it so much that I just had to do it for a living.
What would be your show stopper in the Great British Bake Off?
An enormous fruity, floral creation!
