We had an extremely disappointing experience and cannot recommend Kate. Before our wedding day in Aug 2026, we spent many months designing a bespoke wedding cake with Kate. Our special day was ruined as the cake was damaged during transport to the venue, and we were unable to use it at all! We found out that the cake had already been fully assembled and was being transported in the boot of her car. We were told that she had to ‘brake sharply’, causing the cake to be smashed. It’s unbelievable that such an accident can be allowed to occur when delivering something so important such as a wedding cake. Furthermore, what disappointed us most was how the situation was handled afterwards. We heard nothing from her until we contacted her ourselves several days after the wedding. Not a phone call, message or email. We asked for a call to understand exactly what had happened and to bring some closure to the situation. She refused by email, saying she was too emotionally affected to speak with us! A few days later, however, we saw her posting the process of making our bespoke commissioned cake on Instagram! Having told us she was too emotionally affected to have a short conversation with us, while then using our cake to promote her business on social media, is completely disingenuous. This is deeply unprofessional and it shows very little consideration for the distress the situation had caused us. There were also signs of poor organisation during the whole process, including changing scheduled call times, taking calls from the car on her phone and missing agreed deadlines. The issue was not simply that an accident happened and impacted our wedding, although this in itself is significant. It was the poor delivery planning and lack of accountability. We ultimately had no wedding cake at our wedding and it is difficult to put into words how upsetting this has been. We are writing this review because we sincerely hope another couple does not have the same experience.

Kate provided the centrepiece cake for our wedding on the 22.10.2022. She was professional, maintained communication and delivered the most perfect cake. Not only did Kate listen to our ideas, she developed them and created something truly beautiful. It was the best cake that we and our guests had tasted! Kate created a stunning design for our wedding cake. We wanted something elegant and understated but that also captured the ‘countryside’ theme of our event …and she certainly delivered on that.
