Pretty, Rustic, English Country, Floral, Elegant
The messages I get weeks (or sometimes months) after a wedding, when the dust has settled, and a couple finds the time to tell me how much they loved their cake.
Decide on one or two features of your wedding that are MOST important to you. Eg, venue, the music, the flowers or... cake! Work hard to get your 'thing' right and let everything else fall into place.
I was looking for the 'top table' the other week at a wedding set-up. The organiser had to point it out to me - a round two-person table at the side of the room. Just for the bride and groom. I've never seen that before.
Half of my couples know exactly what they want. The other other half have no idea. Either way, we sit down and talk through ideas over a cuppa and of course a piece of cake (or several).
Oh... I'd say my chocolate orange sponge. People get quite emotional about it. My white chocolate raspberry is a close second favourite.
A double-decker red London bus cake. On top of a tower of cupcakes. Apparently the couple met on bus so that's what they wanted! It turned out very cute I have to say.
A cheeky friend looking for a free wedding cake... she knew I could bake - and that I couldn't resist a challenge. The rest is history so they say.
