What is your most memorable wedding?
My friends wedding! I created a three-tier cake covered in organic edible flower petals and sourced wooden elements as this cake was for a Pagan wedding! I had never been to one before and it was a spectacular wedding, a very non-traditional wedding bit the cake fitted in perfectly! I adore doing wedding cakes, and when it's for your friend? It's just wonderful!

What about your business are you most proud of?
We are totally proud of our own style of cakes. Daring to be different! Also how many people have decided we are the right company for their wedding cake!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your venue FIRST. Go see them - you will just know when it's the right one, may it be a fuzzy feeling in your tummy or intuition - you will just know! Once you have your venue secured, it's so much easier to start planning your cake and working with other suppliers! PS. Check out weddings/parties in Australia on social media - total trendsetters!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I personally contact the client before the wedding and run through the design and leave a little gift for the couples on the day! I love it when there's a small table with pictures of significant people who have passed. Someone significant in my life past away and I feel this gives comfort on the big day to see their faces!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When I am first contacted by a lovely couple, I ask for a brief description of the requirements. This allows a quote to be created and then once the couple is happy the price is within their budget the next step is a tasting session. A tasting session is an opportunity to try a few samples of cakes and then to discuss the design further. Following the tasting if the couple would like to book my service I discuss with the client their very own tailored plan for their special cake.
