Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to my page, thanks for calling in. My name is Susan Stansfield and I’m the proud owner of Humble Bumble Bakes, a home based, bakery, business offering delicious cakes, bakes and biscuits for every occasion including, of course, your wedding. Here at Humble Bumble Bakes we like to work with our clients to help turn dreams into reality so we won’t be telling you what you can or cannot have but we will be happy to share our experience and create something special for your big day. Based in South Manchester, we have been trading since February 2017, although I've worked in the catering industry, for 10 years, before getting married and starting a family. My husband and I have two children of our own and I have produced the wedding cakes for both of them. All our cakes and bakes are made using the freshest, locally sourced, ingredients, made to order and, if required, we are also able to offer vegan or gluten free alternatives. In addition to your centre piece wedding cake we also offer a wide range of other celebration cakes, cupcakes, macaroons, iced cookies, mini cakes, biscuits and much, much, more all of which are, personally, delivered to your venue on the big day. If required, your wedding cake can be a fruit cake or a sponge in a variety of flavours, finished in fondant or classic royal icing and marzipan, buttercream or ganache finishes; the choice is yours. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours and would be pleased to discuss your ideas, arrange a free, no obligation, consultation and tasting if desired, at a time to suit you, when we can chat over a cup of tea/coffee or a glass of bucks fizz and you can tell me all about your venue, styling, colour schemes, timings, flavours, designs and all your ideas for your cake. All our cakes are bespoke so we can incorporate features you’ve seen in other cakes of ours, or elsewhere and can incorporate different flavours in each tier of your cake, in order to bring together your perfect cake.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try to come with a clear idea of an overall look and feel for your day as that will help me deliver your expectations but also be willing to adjust and compromise as we discuss your requirements.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The process usually begins with an initial contact which leads to a mutually agreed time for a personal, face to face, no obligation consultation with the couple and other supporting family and friends where ideas can be discussed in an unhurried and open fashion. This session can include some tastings, if required, over a cup of tea/coffee or glass of bucks fizz and, hopefully, this will produce some ideas, sizings and flavours so we can try and reach an idea of costings for your budget. This is just the beginning of our relationship so, as the wedding day approaches, we will continue to discuss final arrangements so that the couple can be assured that we will deliver their dream cake and have it set up on their day with no stress.

It was a natural progression for my business so I'm able to provide a full range of delicious, quality, cakes, bakes and biscuits.
