We created a bespoke hanging cake for a bride that wanted to be very different. She gave us full reign to design the cake. We found out everything we could about the wedding, the couple and their likes and dislikes and designed an ornate suspended cake. On the day they were delighted with it and the looks on their faces and the hugs we received from the family were priceless. I will always remember that wedding!

The bride and groom had taken time to obtain a funny photo of every member of the wedding and used these as the placeholders/name tags for where people were sitting. It was lovely to see how people reacted to these and talked about the memories that came with those pictures

We will liase initially via email, but more importantly we meet face to face at our dedicated studio in Basingstoke. There we will discuss the wedding plans, ideas and inspiration. The couples will try some delicious cake samples and have the opportunity to view our extensive cake display to help them visualise their cake ideas. Following the booking we stay in touch and do whatever we can to make the process as stress free and enjoyable as possible for our couples. On the day we personally deliver and set up each and every wedding cake making sure everything is perfect before we leave

The most different and unusual must be a large Alice in Wonderland hanging wedding cake that we created for a wedding at Down Hall grange.

My Grandmother was a wedding cake maker and inspired me to take it up as a hobby. Over the years I then took the plunge to turn my passion into a business and in 2011 opened Gifted Heart Cakes. After working from home for a number of years I then progressed to opening my own cake studio. Working away from the home has been fabulous, I have so much more space. I feel more organised and my couples have loved the consultation area and being able to view our wedding cake display area.
