My own at Twycross Zoo 8 years ago.
There are so many for very different reasons. I have loved the black fairy tale theme, the greek wedding with a huge cake split in half, the one i delivered to a castle that was at night in winter and the uplighting made it look magical. I cant pick one but my favourites are rustic chic barn weddings.
Pretty, unique, quality, romantic, rustic, modern.
Pretty, contemporary, simple, chic and rustic
The quality. I love all my flavours, and the decor has to be clean looking with a few small rustic imperfections make them look perfectly imperfect.
The quality of the finished cakes, looks and taste wise.
Dont settle for a picture you found, dare to ask for what you have in mind and let your supplier do what they are good at. Everything is bespoke made so you can probably have what you want and will likely choose something you never thought of.
Choose the design and flavours you really want. Everyone has such different tastes you will never pick something to please everyone, so make sure you to choose what YOUR heart desires.
I love dog figures peeping out of cakes. When the cake table has been considered and its decorated and makes a feature out of the cake. When couple really embrace the wedding and go for what they love, they really are then unique and always a lovely vibe.
So many... gorgeous tipis next to a stunning canal in the middle of the british countryside, and little details like guestbooks comments written on wooden hearts and then place in a big picture frame to display after the wedding.
Most couples get an idea of pricing (via website or a quote), order a sample box to try the cake and then book in. Some couples will also book in for a chat at some point too, but some will just get booked in and do this later when they know more about what they want. Do what's best for you, in the order you are most comfortable with.
An initial email conversation to check availability, price and answer any critical questions. An initial payment is then required to secure the booking, with a full design and cake tasting consultation to follow. Final balance is paid 4 weeks before the wedding and then delivery times and special requirements are ironed out. Delivery and set up on the day is included so the Bride and Groom can completely relax whilst I sort the cake and set it up.
Semi naked cakes are really popular. I love them with drips, gold leaf and of course beautiful real flowers. I really love working with real flowers.
I couldn't pick one. The most popular are Lemon, Chocolate and Victoria sponge because they are safe good all rounders. My favourites are gingerbread, white choc and raspberry and cherry Bakewell.
I huge 6 tier cake that was made to look like it had been cut down the middle and the middle filled with flowers. big, unusual and yet really pretty.
I've done small cakes, huge cakes, teapot cakes pouring flowers, black fairytale cakes, 6 tier split in have with flowers cascading and simple single tier Italian lemon cake and so much more. My favourite though are pretty, pastels and a little rustic, quite simple ones. So a semi naked cake with the prettiest pastel flowers and im in love.
I loved baking and excelled at art in school, so mixing the two was inevitable. I am self taught and been working on my business for 9 years, doing weddings for 6.
I was always good at art through school, but never followed it through as a career. I starting decorating cakes as a hobby and the same passion was reignited through that. I loved it so much I decided to pursue it as a full time career and I absolutely love it.
A really big semi naked cake in the most delicious flavours and adorned with beautiful and dramatic flowers, mouthwatering caramel drips.... Simple, rustic, I need to eat it now style of showstopping.
A rustic chic buttercream finished cake with show stopping flowers across the front, with a different flavour for every tier.
