Celebration Cakes by Catherine Scott

Catherine and her team produced a wonderful wedding cake for us and were brilliant from start to finish. We visited an open evening which I would really recommend, they had so many designs to see, the team on hand to discuss ideas and SO many flavours to taste 😋 Catherine knew our local venue well, as well as our florist so everything ran smoothly. She was also really reassuring in the lead up to the day, especially as we had an ever changing weather forecast and a last minute change of ceremony location which impacted the cake delivery. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Catherine and her team and will definitely use them again for future events.

After tasting samples of Catherine's cakes at wedding fairs we knew she was the perfect person to make our cake. We didn't consider anyone else. From our first consultation we were excited to see our cake on our wedding day! Inspired by Catherine's Lego reveal cakes we described an idea of an icing explosion surrounded by Stormtrooper minifigures on the back. The final result was better than we imagined, complete with 'fallen' Lego blocks on the cake base. For the front of our cake we were recommended to have clusters of flowers. These were exquisitely made in sugar paste to match my bouquet of roses and rosemary. We went along to Catherine's open evening which was brilliant as we were able to taste a wide choice of sponge options available. We opted for the classic vanilla sponge with butter cream and jam for our middle tier because it was the least similar to our dessert. We both love Christmas cake so our bottom tier had to be a fruit cake! We wanted the top tier to be suitable for close relatives with several allergies. Pardon the pun, seeing them enjoy the vegan and gluten free chocolate sponge tier was the icing on the cake! As a recommended supplier to our venue, Ufton Court, Catherine took care of all the delivery arrangements liaising with our wedding coordinator to make sure our cake was set up perfectly before our guests started arriving. We opted for a rotating cake stand which was perfect for our reveal design and it also matched the back monochrome Star Wars theme! All our guests also thought the design was amazing and very much enjoyed eating it! We highly recommended Catherine if you need a cake for any occasion.

Catherine made us a Beautiful Wedding Cake with four different cake flavours, each one was delicious. We only had a small number of guests so she made a dummy bottom tier so that the cake would not look too small. Her extensive range of flavours was hard to choose from, she runs tasting evenings so you can go along and taste as many of them a you like. So we had two flavours in each tier. Scrummy! The sugar work is exquisite, so hard to believe is it not real flowers. Thank you Catherine
