I have so many but one that really stood out was the 'Bride and Groom' Caterpillar cake. The couple both loved Caterpillars and wanted the cake to represent this. The cakes (as there was two caterpillars) weighed a tonne and took two of us carrying it into the venue with lots of people stopping to have a look.
They are all memorable for reason or another but if I was to mention one, it would be the first one back after the covid restrictions. Everyone was glad to be back at what they love doing most

That when a couple come to me with their ideas and I can transform them onto their dream wedding cake
Start Early: Begin the process of selecting and planning your wedding cake well in advance. This allows you to secure your desired cake designer, schedule tastings, and make necessary arrangements without feeling rushed.
Speak to your married friends and ask if they were happy with the supplier
For me it is when you walk into that venue and you can see that the couple have made an effort in welcoming their guests. This is something that they will remember and will often talk about for years to come
A couple asked me to make their cake toppers of themselves and their little boy. Even though the little boy was tiny, I had him dressed in what he was wearing for the day.
Couples normally email me with the date of their wedding to check availability. Some like to come over to discuss the cake design and pricing and other like to get a quote before coming over.
If they are happy we arrange a consultation (we charge £25 for this and if they decide to go ahead this is deducted from the total cost of the cake) During the consultation, samples are offered as well as we talk about their ideas for the design, including colours, inspiration or any quirky requirements.
After the email has been recieved and I am available we ask for more information ie; Do you have any ideas as to the design for the cake. Where is your venue. After this a concultation date is booked and they come over for a chat and sample some cake
Heart topper with the heart layer and ruffles
Most definitely anything with ruffles on
Again I think the Caterpillars as I hadn't seen anything like this before
Most probably the Stone/concrete effect
I used to be a Chef and made the odd birthday cakes so when my husband came out of the Army, I decided on making it a full time job and the business started from there.
It was my husbands idea, as one of the last cakes I made before he left the Army was a wedding cake for his boss. I loved making it so much he said, why don't you do it as a business. The rest is history
Most definitely something to do with ruffles
It would have to be the Dog eating the Wedding cake that myself and another cake maker made for Cake International
