For our March 2025 wedding, Mel created our gorgeous two-tier semi-naked cake hand decorated with a mountain scene and decorated with fresh flowers in the same colour palette as our wedding flowers. We later added a 10-piece dessert table to provide extra sweet treats and sustenance on the dance floor.
We were spoilt for choice on what flavour cake to choose from after we received our samples box which coincided with my (the bride’s) birthday - best birthday cake ever! After much deliberation we chose a 6” lemon cake and an 8.5” raspberry and white chocolate cake.
Ahead of the wedding, Mel provided a gorgeous sketch of what the cake would look like.
For the dessert table we chose: Biscoff brownie, mini lemon & raspberry loaves, apple cake slice, oat and raisin cookies, dark chocolate and sea salt cookies, millionaires' shortbread, custard cream blondie, chocolate tart with honeycomb, plain flapjack and fruit & seed flapjack. Mel was very accommodating when tweaking flavours like including a plain flapjack at the groom’s request.
The cake and the dessert table were absolutely heavenly and as we over-catered there were lots left over to be enjoyed on the Sunday and for guests to take away with them when we checked out on the Monday.
It was a pleasure working with Mel - everything tasted amazing and the dessert table items were presented beautifully on a variety of different stands/platters etc.
