Every part of the cake is handmade, from the piping to the sugarpaste. No stone is left unturned. We specialise in edible hand painted cakes and delicate sugar craft, making our cakes stand out from the crowd. We offer a range of delicious flavours to choose from and offer a tasting session so you can pick the right flavours for you. We also offer gluten and dairy free options too Here at Bodoh Bakes, we cater for that very special day. Whether you want a three tiered creation or something less of a statement, we will meet your needs to ensure that the perfect cake is designed to successfully reflect you. Lily made for us one of the best cakes

Lily made for us one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. Not only was it a piece of art to mark a very special occasion, it was absolutely delicious. I wanted no sugar in the cake, so I wasn't sure what to expect with the maple syrup substitute. It was 10 times better than any other cake and that's not only according to me, but also to friends who like white sugar. Lily is so friendly and accommodating and an amazing artist.

That cake truly was a work of art.

That cake truly was a work of art. People who know me tell me I chat too much but when your cake was produced I felt so emotional that for a fraction of a second I actually had nothing to say. Not only was it beautiful but it was also absolutely delicious and it disappeared fast among our guests -who we'd already stuffed with food! So thank you so much, Lily -it was indeed the icing on the cake of our day (terrible pun, sorry but you know what I mean).

I once made a Sri Lankan themed wedding cake for a beautiful couple who had spent a lot of time there. This was such a wonderful theme to work with because I was able to go to town with the vibrant colours and intricate details, right down to hand-piped gold painted fondant elephants!

I am proud of the fact that I am able to be as creative as I can possibly be in the medium of cake. I love the fact that it is as possible to paint on a cake as it is to paint on a canvas. Initially I would talk to the couple about the number of guests and if they had a theme in mind. Then I would give them a rough quote based on their needs and would then offer a tasting session. After this, I would ask for as much design inspiration as possible (flowers/colours/themes) and would draw up a set of design options. I work very closely with my clients every step of the way to make sure we are creating the dream cake they have in mind.

I once did a pop art inspired wedding cake which was awesome. This included the iconic "LOVE" typography and a hand painted Lichtenstein graphic.

I spent 3 years working in costume in musical theatre but became restless from not being able to use my hands creatively so set up Bodoh Bakes after I spent some time working at a speciality biscuit company, where I learnt how to use a piping bag. This stint gave me the idea of becoming a confectionary artist and the rest is history!
