Helena Victoria has been creating makeup looks for well over a decade, for brides, bridal parties, mothers of brides and grooms, and anyone else who has a celebration where they want to look their best. She specialises in creating a natural look, that is sophisticated, elegant, and the best version of you. She is known for helping people to feel comfortable who don’t normally wear makeup, or are uncomfortable or traumatised by previous experiences with makeup or makeup artists. You can talk to her in confidence if this applies to you, and she will help you develop a makeup look that works for you. Helena is continuously updating her skills, and stays on top of industry trends and new products, so that she can offer the best service to her clients. She was also a finalist in the Makeup Artist category at the Simply Weddings and South West Wedding Awards several times recently and won Hitched MUA Award 2023! Even with our wedding planning, it’s not about what we want to create. It’s about taking what you’ve dreamed of and turning it into a beautiful reality, so that you can have a wonderful wedding.

What is your most memorable wedding?
All of the weddings I've had the honour of working on bring a smile to my face, but there was one in Falmouth last year that was just lovely. Bride treated her Mum to a makeover which Mum wasn't expecting, unicorn trainers for all to include tinnies, a personal invitation to then attend the ceremony.. the morning was beautiful and really touching in equal measure.

What about your business are you most proud of?
Mostly self taught MUA developing skills that mean I get to spend time on one of the happiest days in my brides lives.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Communication is key not just with each other but with your suppliers. If something doesn't feel right.. say!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Bride wanting to involve the tinnies in her party with unicorn trainers for all. Loved them!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Wherever possible, I like to meet with my couples to discuss their initial ideas, see their love in person and get to know what makes them tick! I will get a quote across with a mood board of their requirements. The honour of supporting such an important day is very special, no details go unnoticed.
What do you love most about your job?
Watching the excitement unfold. From providing a quote to being booked through to trial and then wedding day... Knowing we're part of such a special day is magical.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Water, good quality skincare products... It's never too early to look after your skin.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Provide an easy flexible schedule which allows our Brides to relax and enjoy getting ready.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Keep hydrated, remember to eat but most of all, enjoy YOUR day!
