My most memorable wedding? that's a tough one as I have worked with so many over the years and met so many lovely people, so they are all memorable, however, I once worked at Knowsley hall in Liverpool and the Bride had been so poorly and had been messaging me the day before, and I gave her lots more tips about her skin, as it was not looking its best due to her illness. She was really upset and nervous, so I gave her lots of reassurance.
On the morning itself, I always like to work on a one-one so I can provide a much calmer and more professional service for my clients, and it was much appreciated on this occasion! I ensured I took great care with skincare, (as always) for the Bride and party, and the makeup looked perfect, even though the Bride did not still feel well. She was so grateful. I am always so grateful of making a difference to my clients and it makes me so happy knowing that I have contributed to one of the happiest days of their life.
Classic, natural, timeless, wearable, long lasting.
My 35+ years experience and reputation.
Book me early!
I am working 2 years in advance with bookings. The client needs to fill in an enquiry form via my website. Tina checks availability and sends a quote. Due to Tina being in high demand, her service is limited to select weddings only. If the quote is agreeable to the client, then a complimentary virtual consultation is done and both parties can meet and get a feel for each other. If both parties are happy, then a deposit is required.
Any makeup trials are done 3 months prior to the wedding day with the outstanding balance due in full the day before the trial.
On the trial at Tina's countryside makeup studio, Tina will carefully select skincare products and prep the skin ready for makeup, then choose makeup specifically for the client and apply. It is a very enjoyable experience and very relaxed.
A before and after photo is taken and emailed after the trial together with a Personalised product list. You can then purchase any necessary makeup items at your leisure for your wedding day, (usually pressed powder and lip products), but Tina can also provide these for you if you would prefer. Tina also offers a Re-touch kit that you can use on the wedding day, for an extra charge, (includes makeup brushes, makeup, tissues and even a paper straw!)
Tina arrives early on the wedding day to get set up and be your Makeup artist on your special day! Tina likes to work on a 1-1 basis only ideally, to give you the best makeup and experience. Skin preparation is key for everyone so this is always done for each client as she works with each individual, using the best products.
The Bride's makeup is usually done first then the rest of the wedding party, then Tina re-touches the Bride's makeup before she leaves.
Meeting so many different people and being able to make them not only look amazing, but feel amazing too! I love making a difference and being kind.
A difficult question as I have SO many tips! but I think the best one is to stay hydrated! with water. In the run up to your wedding look after your skin too...
As I am a naturally calm person and want the absolute best for my clients and I think being so experienced helps reassure my clients, so not only will I make you look amazing but feel amazing too!
You will have already had a makeup trial with me before the big day, (I don't take on Brides without one). With my friendly and professional approach, you will feel calm as soon as you sit in my makeup chair! Just sit back and enjoy the Professional experience!
If your wedding makeup has been applied professionally it shouldn't necessarily need "touching up", however, you can purchase pressed powder and your lip products and keep them to hand for any touch ups throughout the day, (or give them to someone to look after for you).
Make sure the appropriate skin prep and textures have been used too to ensure it will photograph perfectly and to ensure longevity.
Make sure that you still look like yourself on your wedding day, but your best self. Don't wear too much makeup and don't have too much shine on your face, (eg, highlighter), as this can photograph as white patches on your face.
