Timeless Beauty by Louise Full Description
You will want your makeup to be perfect in every way. I can create the perfect look for you which will be reflected in all those wonderful photographs. Whether you want to go for that natural look or something much more dramatic I will create a look that you are more than happy with. I also understand that some people suffer with sensitive skin, if this is you then my Jane Iredale makeup range is prefect for you. The makeup I use is extremely light but provides amazing coverage, it only contains natural ingredients unlike many other makeup products, so is excellent for all skin types and can actually help acne prone skin. Jane Iredale makeup can also be used after having chemical peels and for skin conditions such as rosacea and redness. When booking your makeup session, for your wedding or special occasion, I would strongly recommend a trial makeup session. The main purpose of having a trial is to make sure you do not have any sensitivities to the makeup I use, and to ensure that you are completely happy with the makeover style that I create for you. Once you decide to have a special occasion or bridal makeup trial with me, I will take before and after photos which will enable you to see exactly how you will look in the photographs of your wedding or special occasion.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Definitely has to be the one I did for the BBC Production 'Marrying Mum and Dad'. It was a Little Mermaid inspired wedding so I had to create a mermaid look for the bride and I also had to make the groom look like King Triton. Being on set was so much fun and I got to watch them get married under water. Their reception was at the RNLI and they had these motorised giant fish floating around the room. It was amazing and definitely not a wedding I will forget!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Practical, Colourful, Classic, Modern, Feminine.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I'm really proud of myself for getting to where I am today. No-one helped me to get here, it's something I did all by myself and I have worked incredibly hard to get here. I have achieved so much and that is all down to everything I have put into my business.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Try not to let the planning take over your lives. Set aside at least one evening a week where there is no talk of weddings and just spend it being with each other. Remember why your getting married and don't let it control your lives too much.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

This has to be something from my own wedding day. My parents had got together with my husbands parents and created a beautiful slide show for us with photos from when we were babies all the way to when we became toddlers, teenagers, adults and finally when we first met each other. I found this so emotional and was touched by the effort that had gone into planning it all. There was also a very embarrassing video of me on a family holiday when I was about 9, dancing with someone dressed as a bear, so what should come walking into the room, but my dad dressed as a bear!!! Not how I thought I'd be having a father, daughter dance I must say :-)

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I don't tend to meet the groom but I do often meet the mum's and bridesmaids which is lovely. When the come into my studio I offer them a tea in my beautiful vintage china which has been very kindly lend to me from Vicky at Granny's China Cupboard before discussing make up. I like to find out what their colour theme is, what amount of make up they are used to wearing, allergies and what kind of look they would like me to create for them. Then the fun begins as I start their makeover.

What do you love most about your job?

I absolutely love being a part of your wedding day. To be asked to do your make up is such an honour and it makes me so happy to with you all on the morning and making you all look beautiful. I also get quite emotional sometimes as it also the final time that I will get to see you.

What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?

Do not have any facials too close to your wedding day. If your skin isn't used to it then you are prone to break outs and other reactions.

How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?

I will be chatting away about anything and everything so you won't have time to be feeling nervous. I have lost count of how many weddings I have done now and am always on hand to help out with dresses, nails and any other last minute to do jobs.

What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?

Keep a little bag close by with deodorant, perfume, translucent powder and a lipstick.
