What is your most memorable wedding?
Nana Liz (this was her nickname), renewed her vows are 25 years and on her wedding day she never had a professional photographer and on the renewal she also hadn't arranged one. Her friends and family decided to all chip in and surprise her on the morning with a very smart looking professional photographer to capture every moment. It was a very emotional moment!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, Beautiful, Flawless, Bespoke, Clean.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am extremely proud of the nominations and awards that I have had over the past few years. Being recognised for doing what you love is the best feeling in the world!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy every single second, the time literally flies!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
It has to be Jodie and CJ's wedding morning. Jodie had hand written out a personalised letter for each of her bridesmaids and put it in a bag along with a few gifts. The girls then one by one opened the letter and read it aloud, Jodie had made sure that everyone had someone else's letter to read, making it even more emotional. Thankfully I hadn't started on the makeup. Phew!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Couple? Honestly I never meet the groom. haha. It's all about the ladies!
I like to meet with the bride if possible before going ahead with any makeup trials, this gives me the opportunity to see how the bride has her makeup on a day to day basis. From meeting with the beautiful bride and getting to know each other it is then time for the trial, my favourite part, experimenting!
A bespoke, personalised trial in our beautiful salon to ensure that you look absolutely perfect.
What do you love most about your job?
Champagne before 10am! Only kidding, I love the atmosphere of a wedding, everyone is on a high and it is just so exciting!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Do not touch your face! The oils in your fingers will be transferred to your flawless skin giving you that oily look we all dread!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Did I mention Champagne before 10am? That should do it ;)
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Dust translucent powder over your face throughout the day, this will avoid you looking oily and will keep your makeup looking fresh.
