I specialise in Bridal make-up, that keeps you looking gorgeous from beginning, to end.
With over 10 years of make-up industry experience, I am well placed to ensure your wedding day look is perfectly suited to any theme, or needs.
Back in 2018, I worked with a bride named Christina. From the get-go, we seemed to Gell; she welcomed me with open arms, and was more than happy to tap into my expertise and experience. She was an amazing client, and on her wedding day, she was so happy with her make-up. She also left me a card to say thanks, which went such a long way!
Colourful, creative, outgoing, bold, vibrant.
At one wedding I attended, they had set up a memory board, with a collection of photo's of loved ones who weren't able to make it. Although this might seem a little dark and dampening, I think it was really touching that they were thought of!
The first step, is the most important step; finding out exactly what the bride wants. Figuring out the big, and little things of the look they're after! Trials can then be used to refine, dial in, and perfect the look; and is why a trial for bridal make-up is SO important; it's like trying on a pair of shoes before walking out of a shop.
Typically, I'l check in with a client a week or so after a trial, make sure they're happy with what we did, and if there is any changes, or alterations they want to make beforehand - small changes can be factored in on-the-day, however, wholesale changes usually require a second trial; it's so important to make sure that a bride is 100% happy before their wedding day!
Make-Up is such a rewarding field to work in, especially when you're able to walk away from a client, knowing they're over the moon with their look on the most important day of their life! That keeps me motivated!
Keep them talking! Even if you spend the session talking about something silly, it stops your bride from spiralling into this chaotic headspace where panic begins; not ideal when you're wedding is 2 hours away!
Obviously, touching your face during the day should be avoided; the oils you naturally produce in your hand can sometimes lead to the make-up actually breaking down, and starting to come away; not ideal when you have 6+ hours left to go of the day!
Also, if you do end up crying, dab at them!! If you wipe the tears, you wipe the make-up!
