What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding was the first wedding I ever did make-up for. The Bride and her bridal party were so lovely and chatty and I had such a lovely morning with them. I realised how much I loved weddings that day; I completely fell in love with the whole experience and knew that this was what I wanted to do forever. I love to have a good old natter and a giggle with my clients and I adore being a part of their special day. It is an absolute privilege to see the whole transformation into a beautiful bride and know that I have helped make them look and feel amazing.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proud that I have been able to build up my business completely on my own. I am not naturally business-minded, but I am proud that my skills and my down-to-earth personality have enabled me to gain lots of amazing clients.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I would say do what YOU want to do! Don't let anyone tell you what to do. Remember it is your wedding, all that matters is that you both love each other and you should have a day that makes the two of you happy, don't worry too much about other people's opinions. I am currently planning my own wedding and I have had so many family members and friends etc try to undermine mine and my partner's decisions, but I have to keep telling myself that it's what we want that matters.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love all the quirky little signs that people have at weddings! I've seen lots of wooden signs that say things like "pick a seat not a side, you are loved by both the Groom and the Bride!" I love that sort of thing.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always have a consultation and trial with my Bride around 6-8 weeks before the wedding day. This takes place at a location of your choice (usually your home address). It is a perfect opportunity for me to get to know my Brides and what exact look they would like to go for. We discuss EVERYTHING, your likes and dislikes, colour scheme, what looks you are most comfortable with, go through photos of the sort of thing you would like; anything that you feel I need to know to make sure I come up with the perfect look for you. I then create a look based on everything we have discussed. As a rough guide this normally takes around an hour to an hour and a half. However, the trial is for you to get an exact idea of how your make-up will look on the day, so there is no exact time limit, I will not leave until you are 100% happy.
Between the trial and the big day I want my Brides to feel as though they can contact me whenever they need to if they have any queries. I always give them my mobile number and they can ask me absolutely anything, no question is a silly question!
On the day I arrive with plenty of time to set up and I will discuss any last minute queries/ changes etc you may have. I aim to make the morning go as calmy and smoothly as possible, whilst having a few giggles along the way.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to make people look and feel amazing, there's nothing better!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Make sure you are looking after your skin in the run up to the wedding; adopt a skincare routine that works for you and drink plenty of water.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I am a pretty relaxed, calm person myself and I think that my nature helps to make the bride feel relaxed also. Whilst I love to talk and have a giggle (which often calms my bride's down and takes their mind of things) I also think that I am pretty good at sensing when a Bride might just need a quiet moment on her own to collect her thoughts. I am able to adapt my approach to suit different client's needs.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Enjoy your day, because a smile is the most beautiful thing on anyone's face! Don't stress about the small things, just relax and take it all in.
