Without sounding like a cliche, all my brides are memorable as each one is its own special love story which i love hearing all about, and each one is so individual I get a new set of memories each time. From the bride who I helped to avoid a wardrobe malfunction with my survival kit on hand, to the bride whom i had a warm coat waiting for when she was freezing in the cold for her couple photos, to the mum who I happily made up twice over after she ran herself ragged in a heatwave making sure all was perfect for her daughters special day, each wedding is personal to me.
Authentic, romantic, effortless, timeless natural
The brides that come to me because of my style.
Remember why you're doing this. And set aside time during the week or on the weekend to discuss wedding stuff. All other time, leave wedding talk at the door as its easy to be consumed and overwhelmed by it.
Wedding photos of both the bride and grooms grandparents and parents displayed on a table next to where the ceremony was to be held. Incredibly poignant and touching.
Once a bride contacts me with details such as date, venue and services required and I confirm availability, we decide on a consultation date and discuss style preferences etc in the meantime. This is discussed further during the consultation in order to create a look tailored specifically to the brides wishes. Once we have created a look the bride is happy with, I catch up with them and send a booking form to reserve the date. Sometimes this is done the other way round for popular dates and when a bride knows she definitely wants to book me.
When a bride looks in the mirror and tells me the final look is better than she had ever imagined.
Focus on your skin health in the run up to the wedding and be kind to yourself.
Lots of jokes and tea! Plus I like to get everyone around involved to ensure we create a calming environment around the bride just by being mindful and calm, but excited nonetheless!
Stay hydrated, its easy to forget to even have a sip of water amidst all the buzz and excitement of the day and try not to touch your hair or face too much. Other than that, just laugh, smile and enjoy your day all the way through as when you look back at your photos thats the first thing you'll see and remember.
