Phillipa Hughes Makeup Artist

After my trial I knew I had found the perfect makeup artist to do my make up for my wedding day. Phillipa made me look and feel like a million dollars and calmed me down on the day when I was panicking over the most gigantic spot of my life. She worked miracles for me and I am forever thankful. She also did my mum and on of my bridesmaids make up as well and they looked stunning, couldn’t be happier. Would highly recommend Phillipa for any occasion she is the best.

I really enjoyed my time with her and she was a great person to have with you on your big day! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, professional, fun, thorough, a true artist and a complete genius with her trade. If you are thinking about trying her, just do it, don’t hesitate. My brother recently got married and it was really important that my mum felt lovely on his big day. Phillipa provides a really personal service takes her time to get to know about your skin, make up needs and your planned outfit. She made mum look and feel wonderful. Mum had so many compliments! I was also lucky enough to have her work her magic and felt great. Plus - at the end of a lovely wedding followed by a long night partying my make up was still very much in place!

Where do I start?! I contacted Phillipa a few months before my wedding, being pretty clueless on make up and preferring the natural look. Phillipa responded to me straight away, was so understanding and felt that she got me straight away. Phillipa offered guidance, tip and tailored skincare advice for the run up to the big day. As a result, my skin has never looked so good! I decided to ask Phillipa to be my make up artist initially based on her enthusiasm, experience and honesty.

Phillipa is amazing! Not only is her makeup beautiful, her advice about skincare is invaluable. I was unsure whether to have an MUA for my wedding, but I'm so happy I did. My makeup was flawless and lasted all day despite 28 degree heat and lots of dancing! Do not hesitate to choose Phillipa as your MUA, you wont regret it.

Phillipa was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone thinking of having professional make-up for their wedding, a make-up trial or a make-up lesson. She really knows her craft, and it comes across in her work, she is clearly extremely knowledgeable and skilled. I had a wedding make-up trial, and then had wedding make-up on the day. So did my Mum. Even during the build up to the day you were fabulous, giving me tips to keep my skin looking healthy especially important as I am pregnant and my skin was doing all sorts of crazy things.
