Fully qualified and Insured Makeup Artist specialising in natural Bridal Makeup. Based near Moffat, visiting beautiful venues in South West Scotland from GGS Yard, Kinmount House and Auchen Castle to Aikwood Tower, Branxholme Park, Wedderburn Barns and Neidpath Castle in the Scottish Borders. Regional Winner of Freelance Wedding Makeup Artist in South Scotland at the Scottish Wedding Awards 2018 & 2020 and nominated for VOWS Award. I specialise in natural makeup so you can still look like you on your Wedding Day, only an enhanced version.
I provide Brides with a top up gift bag with essentials required to keep makeup fresh and lasting throughout the whole day and night. I don't rush makeup so I only take on smaller parties with a maximum of 4 but I can bring along an Assistant for larger parties if required (Assistant fees apply).
As well as Bridal Makeup, I also love doing photoshoots and I have had my work published in The Cumbria Guide, Carlisle Living Magazine and Creative Portrait Magazine. I have started to offer Wedding Hair for parties of 2 maximum.

What is your most memorable wedding?
My very first wedding with a Bride from America. It was a very special day for me. The Bride found me via Instagram from a Photoshoot I done at Culcreuch Castle. The makeup look was inspired by Taylor Swift in the Blank Space video and the Bride loved the makeup.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your chosen suppliers as soon as possible and make sure they provide you with a Contract.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when Brides add keepsakes of loved ones to their Day. I have seen some lovely lockets added to either a flower bouquet or a pair of shoes.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to have a trial with the Bride after an initial consultation via email or phone to find out what kind of style and Makeup wanted for the special day. After the contract is signed and deposit paid I offer a Skincare document for all Brides to get their skin prepped and in the best possible condition for their Wedding Day. I am always available for Brides to contact if they have any questions or concerns in the run up to the special day.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting people and seeing how happy the Bride is at the end.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Start early with skin prep and drink plenty of water. The more looked after your skin is, the more flawless your makeup will be.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I am very organised and arrive early and often bring an assistant if it’s a larger party to ensure the day runs smoothly.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Use Blotting Paper to stop any excess oil coming through as the day goes on and top up your lipstick (both provided in my gift bags).
