Just before reaching 30, after years of glamming friends and family, I had the sudden realisation I was not doing something I loved - making women feel beautiful! And that's how 'Makeup By Charl Kathleen' was created. I am a fully accredited makeup artist and have trained with some of the best MUA's in South Wales.

My kit consists of luxurious products such as
Lancome, Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass, MAC, Dior, to name a few.
I believe bridal makeup should be luxurious makeup, you should feel like a princess for the day, and we should be using the best of the best on the best day of your life!

Makeup By Charl Kathleen offers luxurious bridal makeup for your big day.
Every bride will need to have a makeup trial before their big day, this will give us lots of time to chat about your wedding, get to know each other and ensure you leave feeling flawless and confident. At the trial we will establish your personal preference, skin type, wedding style and design your perfect and sophisticated make-up look, using luxurious cosmetics. Having a trial will ensure I can recreate your dream look on your wedding day!
I also offer makeup trials for bridesmaids and mother of brides/grooms, although not mandatory.
All trials will take place at my studio.
I believe brides should have a deluxe experience of makeup and so my kit consists of many high end brands, such as Dior, Hourglass, Lancome, Charlotte Tilbury to name a few. With these brands we will create a perfectly romantic look that suits you.

How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I will have an organised schedule we will agree on before the wedding, so you won't need to stress about everyone else's makeup!
On the day, need a safety pin? I've got it. New shoes given you a blister? I've brought plasters. Somebody just ripped their dress? I got a needle and thread...basically, I come prepared with an emergency kit for the 'just in case' moments
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Make sure your maid of honor is carrying your lipstick, and make sure you top it up before photos!
