What is your most memorable wedding?
A 5* wedding in Egypt, with 20 bridesmaids!! Super Glamorous!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Beautiful, natural, glowing, effortless, chic
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After our initial communication, it is always advisable to book a makeup trial with me. I recommend booking your trial a minimum of 2-3 months prior to your wedding, once you have found your dress. At the trial, we work together to come up with your makeup look. I normally hold trials at my home in St Albans Hertfordshire, or I can travel to you (travel expenses will be charged in this case).
Once the trial is completed and you would like to go ahead with booking me, a 50% deposit is required to secure me for the wedding date.
I will liaise with you to come up with a timetable for makeup for you and your bridal party on the wedding morning. If any makeup is required to be purchased for the wedding day, I can assist with advising and purchasing using some of my industry discounts where appropriate.
On the morning of the wedding, I will travel to the location where you will be getting ready. Then let the wedding morning fun begin!
Post wedding, I love to touch base with my brides to see how their days went and I love seeing pictures of their wedding days.
What do you love most about your job?
It is really special being part of a bride's intimate wedding morning and getting them ready for one of the biggest days of their lives. It can be hectic sometimes, but it is always amazing to see everyone ready to go in their beautiful dresses. Sometimes it's hard to fight back the tears!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Drink lots of water in the lead-up to the wedding, and try to reduce sugar, caffeine, and alcohol intake in the 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding. Instead load up on green juices and healthy skin foods, such as nuts, avocado, and oily fish. Start your skin prep well in advance of the wedding! If you are able to book a couple of facials (or try DIY facials at home). This will ensure your skin is already performing at its best, and the makeup won't need to work quite as hard. The makeup will just be there to enhance.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
An organised, calm presence, smiles, and lightheartedness!
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Keep your lipstick, powder or blush and a mini brush in your bag or with a bridesmaid for any touch ups throughout the day.
