Every wedding is special, but my recent favorite was a lady in her 70's who was marrying her first love, having becoming a widow after 46 years of marriage and 2 children, she met up with him via Face book. They fell in love all over again, at 19 they were engaged, she broke it off as she thought she was too young! She's even wearing the original engagement ring. This totally proves there is love out there for everyone no matter what you age or history, and a good reason to believe in fate!!
1.To listen to my bride, every bride has a different idea on what she wants her day to be and its important that her wedding preparation reflects that too.
2. Offer my experience of what has worked and why
3. To be flexible to change on the plans for the wedding
4. To make sure timings of the morning are going to plan, without interfering in the Bridal parties fun
5. To give the Bride a morning she won't forget, I always say 'the Bride may forget parts of the wedding day but she'll never forget her wedding morning'
Being professional organised and experience and above all friendly
As soon as you've found a supplier you like BOOK THEM, I've had to disappoint so many brides because the make up artist was last on the list, and I've already been booked.
The Bride and I have a conversation to assess if my wedding style is what she is looking for, she then completes a booking form and pays a small deposit to secure the date in my diary. Closer to the wedding date we then diarise a date for the make up trial. Some Bride like to have a make up trial prior to complete the booking this is also perfectly acceptable
Making the Bride feel herself on her best day.
Moisturise!!
Make sure she has 5 minutes to herself to get her thoughts together and that she leaves all of the timing to me so that she can relaxing and enjoy her morning without any last minute rushes.
To make sure your make up artist prepares the skin properly, and uses longwear products from a good brand.
