Lara Champion Make-up

Lara did the make-up for my wedding in August, she did an amazing job! Myself, my bridesmaids, Mother and mother in law were all over the moon with our make-up. she made us all feel relaxed and calm in the hours leading up to the ceremony, and was a pleasure to have around. Lara would absolutely be the make-up artist I would choose, and recommend to others.

I’m not one to feel particularly comfortable in my own skin. In fact, visiting a beautician is up in my least favourite things to do. As I was getting married however, I felt I had to overcome this if I was indeed to look the best I possibly could. I contacted Lara after watching her work at my hairdressers. I explained to her my needs, I have an allergy to lots of makeup. I also explained my ‘fear’ of having make up done and looking too done up. She quickly put me at ease, explaining what she was doing and why. She kept in contact with me after my trial to ensure I hadn’t had a reaction to any products. (She has done her homework on this and hadn’t used any thing harsh) I found her to be gentle and extremely knowledgeable. In short, she made me comfortable in my own skin, and the best version of myself that I have ever seen. Honestly one of the best wedding decisions I made. Apart from marrying my husband, obviously!

Lara is a very talented lady. It will be our first anniversary tomorrow and one of the things that stands out for me is how at ease I felt on the morning of the wedding. It flew by and felt like I had a friend helping me to get ready. Several friends have asked if I was nervous or anxious and I can honestly say I wasn’t! The atmosphere was calm and it was lovely. My make up was exceptional and stayed put all day. It felt natural and I felt like I still looked like myself not a heavily made up version.

Lara is the perfect person to have around on your wedding day! From the very first message, throughout the trials and on the day she is kind, helpful and extremely talented! Lara listens to your ideas or in my case, my lack of (!) and talks you through different shades and tones that go together and compliment your skin tone. During the make up trial, Lara felt like an old friend as she is so easy to chat to and has a real calming effect which is much needed, especially on a busy wedding day morning! We were all thrilled with our make up, especially my mam who was worried about looking too "make-up-y!' Everyone commented on how natural we looked and the make up lasted all day and night through laughter, tears and dancing! The only downside is not having Lara available to do your make up every day!!!

I booked Lara for my wedding after a recommendation from a friend and have since recommended her to do my best friend’s wedding also. Lara did the makeup for myself, my five bridesmaids and my mum and did an amazing job - the makeup looked fabulous and stayed all day without needing any touching up. I was especially impressed given my skin isn’t great but Lara made it look like it was! An added bonus was that she was absolutely lovely during the morning wedding preparations and kept us all calm for the big day ahead! I cannot recommend her enough.

I can not recommend Lara Champion enough. Lara is extremely talented and her years of experience in make up shine through. Lara impressed me by matching make up to my skin tone instantly, she made gorgeous suggestions whilst listening to what tones I felt comfortable with. On my wedding day Lara was calm and professional and completed make up for me and my two bridesmaids in a timely and relaxing manner with no fuss at all. She made us look and feel a million dollars!

Lara did my makeup in june for my wedding not only did she make me look my best she made me feel amazing!! Had the loveliest morning with Lara and my family we all felt a million dollars!!! The best makeup ive ever had. Would highly recommended Lara

Lara was just perfect! From the trial to the wedding morning, she was such a calming presence to have around. I couldn't fault my makeup on the day and it stayed on right until the end of the night, I just wish she could do my makeup every day! I would recommend her to anyone & everyone! Thank you so much!

Lara was wonderful when she came to do my make-up for my wedding. I so wish I could have her do my wedding every day. On top of being so talented, she was so kind and patient with me. I’m so glad I chose her for my wedding day.
