What is your most memorable wedding?
I’ve been involved in so many weddings and I think they are all memorable in their own way, whether it be the giggles I have with a large bridal party or the special time I’ve had with brides where it has just been myself and them getting ready on the morning. All of my brides have been beautiful and special and I’ve always felt privileged to be part of their day. I guess my favourite weddings have been those of my very good friends and family. Getting my sister ready was a lovely moment for me
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am always proud when someone personally recommend my services. Seeing great reviews about my work also makes me happy
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I am always proud when someone personally recommend my services. Seeing great reviews about my work also makes me happy
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Try not to stress out about the small things on the lead up to your big day. Whatever happens you will have a wonderful time surrounded by your friends and family who are there wanting you to have the best time
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When a bride first gets in touch with me we usually discuss what the bride is looking for. I always encourage any bride to book a trial run. This always takes away any worry about what hair and make up will look like on her big day. Between the initial consultation and the trial I I am available to answer any questions or queries and the bride is always encouraged to send me any pictures of ideas she has. On the day of the trial I always ensure that we have plenty of time to try out all of the ideas that the bride has. I always make sure that the bride leaves satisfied that she has seen all of her ideas carried out and is happy with her chosen look. Between the trial and the big day I will always be available for any help needed. On the big day I arrive at brides chosen venue in plenty of time and work my magic!
What do you love most about your job?
I love knowing that what I do contributes in a large way to how special a bride feels on her big day
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Drink plenty of water for a good two weeks before the day of the wedding. Also keep a small tub of Sudocrem in the bathroom. It’s a magic cream that deals with breakouts such as dry skin, eczema, sports, rashes etc, which can often manifest in times of stress!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
By being eternally calm myself. I am the most laid-back person and whatever happens on the morning of the wedding, I will be them to deal with it with zero fuss
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Invest in your chosen lipstick colour so you can top it up during the day
