The most chilled and relaxed wedding that took place in a field next to a grandparents home in The Gower which had been used for summer holidays growing up. It was full of friends and family coming and going all morning and just has such an amazing relaxed feel which definitely rubbed off on the Bride.
Classic Sophisticated Glamorous Calm Relaxed
I'm so proud of the fact I have been running my own business for the last 15 years doing something that makes me happy. I always go to work with a smile on my face because I love my job and all the gorgeous people I get to meet.
The calmest brides I've seen have been the most organised. Use your bridesmaids wisely....give them jobs in advance for the morning of the wedding to keep things calm.
Also, it always takes longer than you think to get into your dresses, so leave plenty of time and having someone to help with this who isn't going to the wedding is a life saver
I always love handmade gifts and weddings where friends and family members have contributed to the wedding in one way or another... be it making the cake, doing the flowers or making dresses.
I mainly deal with the bride and her bridal party but its always lovely to meet the other half! If I haven't previously met at a wedding fayre, I usually meet up first of all at the make up trial run where we can discuss make up looks, timings and go through any questions the bride has.
I love making people smile! Its so lovely to be invited to help someone get ready for such a special day.
Don't try anything new a few weeks before the wedding and don't have your eyebrows waxed the day before the wedding....the skin needs a few days to heal and calm down.
I like to do the brides make up about an hour or so before shes due to get dressed as this is when the stress levels can start to rise . So its nice to be sat in the chair relaxing, having your face made up with a glass of bubbly chatting about honeymoon....this is the brides time to leave everyone else do the running around for last minute tasks.
Good skincare before the wedding day will help prepare the skin ready for make up. It will make the base stay flawless all day. Along with primers and setting spray.
The one thing I always recommend to have to hand is a lip colour to touch up with through the day. There's a lot of eating, drinking and kissing to be done!
Also blotting sheets are a must in a Summer wedding.... they blot away any shine and oil but leave the make up on the face.
