What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take your time to plan and look through various options available. It's best to try or sample a few different options before making your final choice.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Prior to the wedding day, I typically conduct a trial session with the bride, which can be extended to include bridesmaids and/or the mother of the bride/groom if required. During this session, we have a detailed discussion about various elements such as ideas, colour schemes, dress style, and hair preferences. I then experiment with different looks, working with your ideas and dedicating ample time to ensure we achieve the exact makeup vision for the special day. Importantly, there's no time constraint on the trial – we persist until we reach perfection!
On the wedding day itself, the preparations start early to ensure a relaxed and accurate recreation of the makeup finalised during the trial. This early start is to guarantee there's plenty of time to craft a flawless look, contributing to a stress-free and enjoyable experience for the bride and her party.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the happiness on the bride's face when the hair, makeup, dress and flowers all come together and she feels and looks beautiful!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Drink lots of water and moisturise daily, ideally all the time, but especially within the month running up to the wedding day. This ensures your skin is at it's best and healthy for the wedding day.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Everything to do with the makeup is always fully planned before the day, so all the bride needs to do is sit in the makeup chair, relax and be pampered!
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
The makeup I use has yet to fail me with its staying power! The Bride doesn't need to worry about the makeup moving as I have some great products to make it stay put all day and all night!
