Rather than do my wedding makeup for me on the day (my wedding venue was at the other end of the country, otherwise I would have snapped her up for the whole thing!) I had a one-to-one tutorial with Jane and she taught me how to apply the best base, matching my skin perfectly to the right foundations etc.. and showing me how to use primer, concealer, and do highlighting and sculpting in a way that still left me looking natural. She then showed me how to do my brows and apply individual false lashes to give my eyes a bit more impact without looking overdone. I could then do most of my own makeup on the day and was so pleased with the result! I love that she is not bound to one makeup brand as it meant she was able to choose what worked perfectly for me and I ended up going home and buying the whole lot - it has changed my day to day makeup routine completely and for the better! Moreover, as someone who is very sensitive about their makeup and very anxious when it comes to not wearing any, Jane was perfect. She has such a lovely, calm and understanding temperament that I felt comfortable with her. She listened to my concerns about my skin, assured me it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was, and it turns out she has experience of working with people who are concious of their skin due to acne, rosacea etc... and is extremely knowledgeable about what works best. She reccommended some cleansing and moisturising products to me and some makeup products which are nice and gentle to the skin (including a nice creamy natural-shade eyeshadow which is now one of my favourite products), which have completely transformed my skin! And in time for my wedding too :) She has such a great depth of knowledge of makeup and skin care it's amazing. My tutorial with her really was a turning point for my self esteem; I have come a long way thanks to her :)

The service we received was outstanding from my initial contact/enquiry. Jane's dedication to the planning and detail of my Bridal make-up trial, to my actual wedding day, was a credit to her knowledge and talent. I felt confident with Jane doing not just my make-up but Mother of the Bride too and I loved the false eye lashes!! They were just perfect to add, as a finishing touch!! Jane is absolutely incredible, such a warm, talented and genuine person. I had the pleasure of having her do my make up, and that of my maids and Mum on the day of my wedding (22nd July), and she did a stellar job. Even in the run up, nothing was too much trouble, no matter how small or silly the question or query was! She really put me at ease during the trial, and constantly asked for opinions, less or more, which was such a comforting aspect, she even brought her notes from the trial on the day! One of my maids has extremely sensitive skin, and Jane worked with her beforehand and on the day to make sure that her needs would be met. The make up stayed put all day for everyone, and my new husband still comments on how beautiful the make up was. Thank you so much Jane!!
