I would say that Gustav was the best hairdresser you could ever wish for on your wedding day but he was so much more than just a hairdresser - he was on hand to help out in any way he could as well as making my hair look absolutely perfect. I honestly can’t recommend him enough and I am so grateful for him to have been there on my special day.

Wouldn't have dreamt of having my hair done by anyone else Gustav was the obvious choice for my wedding as his reputation is outstanding and he was so clearly as excited as I was about my wedding! During our trial run he listened intently to what style of Wedding I wanted, paid close attention to the style of my dress and then totally took charge and showed me what he thought would work best for me (which of course was perfect first time !). I love that Gustav listens to what you want but then applies all his skill and experience to show you what will work best for you . He took care of everything, fussed over me, made my mum and mother in law to be feel like filmstars and was generally a discreet but fun member of the Wedding team. Wouldn't have dreamt of having my hair done by anyone else and wouldnt hesitate to recommend him for any bride wanting the benefit of experience, style and reassuring enthusiasm for your wedding. The one When I first saw Gustav my curly hair was in a shocking condition. A local hairdresser had recommended a relaxing type treatment to better manage the curls. This is probably the worst decision I have ever taken for my hair . My hair cracked leaving it terribly thin, weak and dry throughout. It broke in tufts in the front of my head. Gustav guided me to use 3 More Inches products, how nourish and dry it. He was always so sensitive at time of cutting giving me hope that it would recover well. And so it has . I estimate it took about 18 months to get back to full length and growth. With his guidance and amazing cutting technique on an 8 week basis I now long hair. It’s the start of long hair to be fair but it thick and in the best condition for many years. Gustav is wonderful hairdresser but also technically understands hair growth and maintenance . I highly recommend him.

I was lucky enough to have Gustav prepare my hair over three days for my wedding that was in Capri, Italy this past summer. September 2017. I had one hair trial with him in the salon for my main event and he was incredible! I knew straightaway that it was going to be perfect on the day. Not only did he carry out beautiful hair for me on both Friday and Saturday night of my wedding weekend he created a beautiful wavy beach blowdry for me on Sunday morning. He managed to do hair also for my bridal party on Friday 8 people and on Saturday including all my little flower girls. Every single member of my bridal party loved their hair immensely... He also performed a blow-dry for the groom at the last minute unexpectedly as his hair dresser didn’t turn up, he adjusted other family members who cheekily asked for help and was on hand and supportive to the makeup artist and others involved. He is professional and extremely skilled at what he does. He attended my portrait photos and made sure absolutely everything was perfect in the photographs a bit like having an art director next to you at all times. A jack of all trade he really is a true expert in his field and an extremely likeable person which makes working with him so easy… On your big day you really want to feel calm and relaxed and have a laugh, With Gustav this is guaranteed because he knows what he’s doing and you feel safe in his hands! I can’t recommend him greatly enough to any other brides and I hope you have the best experience as I did!

When I booked Gustav for my wedding, I had no idea that it would be so much more than a fabulous hairstyle he would give me. From the very beginning with the trial to my hair color I understood just how much of a creative genius he is. In a twist of fate on the day of my wedding the power at the Savoy went out. I found myself running through the hotel and eventually out on The Strand in a hotel robe and slippers with Gustav by my side holding a sheet over my head so the guests would not get a glimpse before the ceremony. He was a calming presence on such a crazy morning. Whilst he maintained professionalism, he was so acutely aware of my needs, he picked up on the subtle and delicate relationships of various family members and was able to juggle it all with total ease. No small feat in my big, lively family. Gustav is talented, personable, flexible, easily multitasks and has the most amazing sense of style. The coifs he gave my bridesmaids and flower girls were as gorgeous and unique as they are! Despite all the curve balls of the morning, my hair was chic and sophisticated. It lasted me through all the dancing and when we returned to our room there wasn’t a hair out of place! One of my many warm memories of my wedding day was Gustav accompanying and supporting me in the last moments before taking vows. I’ll never forget him handing me over to my dad and watching me walk down the aisle from the back of the church to be given to my darling husband.
