To achieve beautiful healthy breathtaking bridal hair all starts with hair care, start by preparing your hair six months prior to the wedding day by investing in a professional sulphate free shampoo and conditioner and having regular hair cuts in the lead up to the wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After accepting a quotation, I will require a £100 booking fee to secure your wedding date, once received i will then forward a confirmation letter to confirm the booking, I recommend scheduling a trial 3-4 months prior to the wedding day
What do you love most about your job?
I love being part of my brides wedding day which is one of the most memorable days of your life, it takes me back to when I had my own wedding and how important my day was to me, I am extremely organised and plan a full schedule of the wedding morning for hair and make up to give you a stress free morning, I feel immensely proud when a bride books me to be part of their wedding day!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
If you are loving the face framing look which is very on trend with brides this year, I would suggest having some face framing layers cut prior to your hair trial, this will help you visualise how you will look on your wedding day.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I have a very calm persona about myself, I have worked on hundreds of weddings and have a wealth of experience of how to keep the bride calm on the wedding morning, I plan a schedule so every person is aware of their time slot for hair and make up, i also provide the bride with a hairstyling information sheet to prepare their hair correctly for the wedding morning. I often help with other jobs on the wedding morning which include helping the bride into her dress, putting on jewellery and drying the stems of the bouquets, although I am a bridal stylist i will multitask to make sure every person is ready on time for the Ceremony.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
All of my styling is fixed securely so the style will hold all day, half up down styles can become a little untidy as the day progresses, due to british weather this can have an impact on hair, I suggest using a humidity resistant hairspray to maintain the style throughout the day.
