What is your most memorable wedding?
It would have to be my first ever international bridal booking I did in France. The weather was perfect, we did the make-up and hair out on the balcony of this huge castle! It was such a stunning view while I was getting her ready.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
I don’t have a signature style and I never want to. My aim is to give my client what they want and what suits them, whether it be a bride or on set for a national campaign.
But I would say majority of my brides come to me because they want a NATURAL GLAM look that's MODERN but TIMELESS.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Too many to name, but I'd say one highlight is bring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's personal make-up artist for Paris Haute Couture week.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Set a date and get researching! A lot of businesses get booked well in advanced, if you want to get the suppliers you would like it is highly recommended to book in as soon as possible. Some of my brides book 2 years in advance!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Bride & Groom had printed out thank you scrolls for the immediate family. It had the mother of the bride and groom both in an emotional state of happy tears.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Email enquiry and then a bespoke quote is sent from one of our team members or PA.
Then we would get the bride in for a trial, we usually recommend this in advance to try out and see what a bride is comfortable and happy with.
Thereafter we book the bride in to secure her date/s with initial fees and booking forms. After this, the bride can sit back and relax knowing I'll be there on the day and she can continue to move on to other wedding planning.
I usually do a skincare routine with the bride via video consultation to ensure she is using the right products for her skin and show her how to apply them.
On the wedding day I spend a good amount of time doing hair, make-up and the dressing, a bride should not be rushed.
The hair and make-up should be an experience, it is the first thing you do in the wedding morning and it should be enjoyable journey of getting ready! I then will stay for pictures with the photographer. There are cases where brides need me to stay for longer on the day and this is not an issue, ever bride is different and unique so their process may be slightly different as it is all tailored to what each bride needs and wants.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting and building great relationships with my clients. I believe you attract certain types of people into your life, I'm very fortunate that I attract brides who are exactly like myself, women who love luxury, being pampered but also care for the environment (I'm big on reducing plastic waste in my kit!).
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Good skincare is the base of any good make-up. Watch my serious called The Bridal Advice Series on YouTube for some extra tips! If you're a bride of mine you'll get a bespoke one-to-one consultation on skincare.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Keeping a bride calm on the day starts from when a bride sends an enquiry. Myself or PA will keep in contact regularly with the bride and send reminders during the wedding week to ensure they are all prepped in advance for the day to eliminate stress.
I'm big on time keeping, I feel like lateness stresses out a bride so I always turn up on time. I have lots of different music playlists for my brides depending on how they are feeling, so that's the final cherry on the top, they can choose between love, romantic songs or jazz up the morning with some more upbeat music!
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Be mindful. The day will go so fast so take a moment to take it all in. When you are getting your dress on, be present in that moment to remember it, if you think ahead too much it will go by so fast and you won't remember the day.
