What is your most memorable wedding?
My first wedding! It was in 2019 and was for a friend/colleague and it was to be featured in loads of brochures as she was in marketing! I was so nervous but after doing a trial and as it was someone I knew that really helped me focus on the day!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Honest, Attentive, Thoughtful, Colourful
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proud of myself for going after a lifelong dream and not giving up!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Something I actually read on SRW Photography page that I thought was great- If you have favourite suppliers that must be part of your day, then check their availability before you pick a date if the date is not important to you.
This means you can guarantee you get what you really want on the day!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The most unexpected things. Whether it’s a gift or a speech they’re always heartwarming and special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It is normally the Bride who will contact me directly. We go through her wedding day details/timings and if they book, we then arrange a trial 2-3 months before the wedding. A trial is a fantastic opportunity to really understand what the Brides expectations are and we have a detailed consultation. This gives the Bride a chance to wear her makeup for the day and see how she feels in it.
What do you love most about your job?
I love being part of one of the most important days of someones life. I love that I have helped make a dream come true.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Skincare! From head to toe!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
Reassurance, talking her through the process and making sure she has exactly what she needs.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Understanding how your makeup wears normally is a great start. For example, if you have an oily skintype it may be an idea to have a compact with a bit of powder to help reduce shine later in the evening.
Also have a lippy to hand as that may wear off after dinner etc.
