What is your most memorable wedding?
At a recent wedding I ended up as not only make up artist but chaffeur to 4 bridesmaids! The VW Camper Van hired to take them had broken down....it was one of those situations where you had to laugh and then get all hands on deck...the show must go on! #getthemtothechurch!

What about your business are you most proud of?
I had a vision of working for myself doing something I was passionate about. I have a young son and wanted to be an inspiration to him that you can do what ever you want, no matter your age or background. All it takes is hard work and perseverance. I went back to college at 30 years of age and started at the bottom, working my way through 2 years as a student and creating a business that I am now very proud of and enjoy immensely.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don’t leave it all to the last minute...but when the big day come breathe and enjoy..it will all be over so quickly.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet with the bride ideally a minimum of 6 weeks before the wedding for their trial to talk through the look they want to achieve. I also love giving advice on other areas like skin, hair and nail care, and make them aware of the other services I can offer in the run up to the wedding.
Following the trials I will be in touch via email/text to confirm timings and who I will be working alongside for hair, photography to see if there is anything I can do to help the morning run more smoothly.
I like to receive payment a minimum of 24 hours before the big day to avoid any extra stress on the day, this can be via bank transfer or cash.
What do you love most about your job?
The people I get to meet and the fact that I get to be a small part of one of the most important days of someone’s life
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Skincare skincare skincare! In the run up to the day makesure you are making that extra effort to cleanse tone and moisturise twice per day with the correct product for your skin type. I’m always happy to give advice on this subject so feel free to pick my brain, it’s one of my favourite topics to discuss.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
It depends on the person as some brides need some quiet time and some need reassurance or a few jokes cracked to lighten the mood. I try and encourage a minimal amount of people in the room at the time of the make up being done to encourage a more chilled out atmosphere.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
I makesure the maid of honour is given lipstick, powder and mascara to keep on her to help freshen the bride throughout the day, and will advise the best times for her to do this. Also it’s important that the bride stays hydrated to keep her skin glowing throughout the day.
