What about your business are you most proud of?
My many achievements including London Fashion Week (nail team), Miss London Beauty Pageant (makeup artist), official makeup artist for Miss British Beauty Curve & Miss International Curve.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Think of yourself too! Treat yourself as well as your guests, you deserve it & it is your day! Avoid leaving things to the last minute to avoid disappointment. Most importantly, Enjoy your time planning & enjoy the day! Time will fly by!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
This was actually a wedding I was a bridesmaid at and the brides dress burst open before walking down the isle. Our amazing photographer had a sewing kit in her bag and helped to sew her into her dress! It was so amazing that she had it with her and even helped fix the issue!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
As a makeup artist it's very rare I get to meet the groom as the bride is who is usually having my services. I like to take time with trials as there's nothing worse than a rushed trial! Trials are about working together to get the perfect look that makes the bride feel comfortable, confident & beautiful. On the day I will travel out to where the bridal party are getting ready, once everybody is ready I will check everybody over and leave you to your finishing touches.
What do you love most about your job?
The confidence I can give a person from something that for me is a passion and something I absolutely love to do!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Focus on your skin care! See a beautician who offers facials and get the correct skin care to start to prep before the wedding. Skin care is so important to creating a beautiful base so starting a few months before the wedding is recommended & drink lots of water!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I like to keep the atmosphere calm and exciting. Its all about the bride enjoying her wedding morning and if there's something she's stressed or concerned about, I try to help where possible or take her mind off it whilst the bridesmaids deal with it.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Keep a few products for touch ups in one of your bridesmaids bags. If you're oily skinned a little compact powder to keep away any shine will be super helpful! As well as a lipstick as when you eat and drink it will budge, so keeping a lipstick will mean your lips can be touched up as and when you feel necessary.
