Ashley Kay is an outgoing, quirky Texan who was raised in California, where her passions for art, fashion and music were realised. A degree in psychology (whilst living in London) coupled with an artist background makes for a perfect combination, giving her the ability to listen to and understand people's wants and needs while utilising her artistic skills. After moving from London, Ashley began her successful fashion and wedding makeup and hair career in Cambridge. Ashley Kay, as a Cambridge bridal makeup artist, has the privilege of doing over 40+ weddings a year. With a successful team of assistant makeup artists as well as hair artists, Ashley Kay can cover all weddings, big or small. Ashley Kay, on top of her very successful bridal career has a long standing hair and makeup career in fashion, TV and music videos. Through her connection with the Cambridge Colleges, Ashley Kay has worked on many corporate videos, photoshoots and events throughout the year. Some of her career highlights include her work in high end magazines such as Vogue, Elle, You and Your Wedding, Velvet, Cambridge Magazine and Your East Anglia Wedding magazines. Ashley’s work has also been featured on top wedding blogs, StyleMePretty, RockMyWedding and My English Wedding. Some of Ashley Kay’s work outside bridal, to name a few, consists of key makeup & hair artist for ITV’s Home of Fabulous Cakes, Discovery Health & Beauty, Fandango TV for Stephen Hawking, Ghost for John Lewis, Hawes & Curtis, Clamp Optometrists, Deliveroo and The Sun. On top of being nominated as Hitched Wedding Hair Stylist of the Year twice in a row, Ashley Kay has been asked to write expert beauty columns for many magazines and blogs.
