Amelia Carmela

Amelia did a great job for my bridal hair for my June wedding at Berwick Lodge. She was flexible and worked well with my hair and accessories. Would recommend doing the trial to establish and test the look. We ended up choosing a different hair clip that worked tonnes better for the actual day. I also trialled using hair extensions which gave the full large curls. Unfortunately, I had accidentally left these extensions at home on the wedding day and Amelia was still able to work the hair to make the Hollywood waves decent, with volume and ensure that the curls held. I had so many compliments on the day. Thank you, Amelia!

Amelia at the styling lounge did an absolutely fantastic job on myself and my wedding partys hair, I could not recommend her highly enough. She was professional and flexible and was outstanding throughout, from the first consultantion until the moment she left on the day, helping me to determine what style I wanted and would suit me most through to calming my nerves in the morning. I received so many compliments that my hair was the best it had ever looked.

Fabulous! I didn't worry one bit about my hair (and make-up!) all day long. After my trial, I had a lot of confidence that my hair would look beautiful all day - and it really did. In fact it stayed till the following morning! My bridesmaid's & mother's hair also looked fab. Amelia had the right equipment, was on time, very relaxed and in control on the day, which went a long way to calming my nerves. The pictures from my wedding are stunning, which is in no small part attributable to Amelia.

After having a bad hair trial elsewhere, and it being only a short time before the wedding, I was starting to panic before meeting Amelia. From the get go Amelia was great and practised a range of styles at my trial. I didn't even need to go away and consider whether to book Amelia - I did so there and then! We booked for my hair, my Mum's, and 3 bridesmaids. Amelia arrived on the day, and fitted in so well with me and the bridal party, we had such a great morning getting ready!

Amelia was fantastic. She arranged a trial where we tried a couple of styles and created the final plan. She was very relaxed and so lovely to chat to. On the day she created stunning hairstyles for my 3 adult bridesmaids, my mum and myself. Our hair made us feel comfortable and she created styles that suited us all. She rescued my flower girls' hair at last minute which was amazing! We all had a very relaxed and fun morning- I couldn't have wished for anyone better to share the morning with us!

I did not know Amelia's work prior to my wedding and was nervous that she would understand neither me or my hair like my regular hairdresser. I need not have worried. Amelia put me completely at ease as soon as I walked into her salon. She listened carefully to my ideas and put my hair up as I had envisaged. Nothing was too much trouble and we tried several looks, until I was satisfied (No mean feat!) On the day itself Amelia took great care to ensure I was happy and my hair was perfect.

Amelia is a fantastic hair and make up artist who ticks all the boxes for someone you would want on your big day. She is a confident and approachable person who makes you feel at ease and listens to your ideas. She is also practical and full of great advice. At my trial she was more than happy to try several styles and when I was unsure about my original choice of style offered some suggestions. The end result was that I walked away very happy about my look and very excited for the day.

I loved my wedding hair and was really impressed by Amelia's work. She understood immediately the look and style I wanted and it was great that a trial run was included in the price. I would recommend her to any bride!

Amelia was great - an oasis of calm despite the chaos around her (incl. 5 small bridesmaids getting french plaits from a production line of aunties). She teased volume into my v. fine hair and quickly (and in a v. confined space) created a beautiful side chignon that stayed looking lovely all day (even through a re-enactment of THAT lift from Dirty Dancing), Seeing we were struggling on time, she also kindly did my sister's hair (who is self conscious due to previous alopecia) at no extra cost
