What is your most memorable wedding?
So many! For me its the brides who stand out. I'm lucky enough to work with all kinds of brides; sophisticated, glamorous, hippy, hipster, rockabilly & vintage brides. But what unites them is the desire to look good yet individual on their wedding day.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural long-lasting flawless glowing beautiful
What about your business are you most proud of?
I love that i have so many repeat clients. So often i have provided make-up for a bridesmaid then gone on to provide make-up for her wedding. I love that!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
stay calm!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Id recommend having a bridal makeup trial about 6 weeks before the wedding. During the trial we work together to create a look you're happy with. I make notes about your chosen look and take photos so i know how to recreate it.
On the wedding day i'm usually early (just in case!). I will have a schedule that works with the hairdresser and allows time for top ups and unforeseen delays. Once everyone's make-up is complete i will stay around until dresses are on so i can do top ups and make sure everyone looks perfect before they head off for the wedding.
What do you love most about your job?
It doesn't feel like a job!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Drink lots of water
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
A little space away from the hustle and bustle, a spritz of lavender and some calm words.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Take a powder compact and lipgloss with you but only touch up when you go to the loo. I use the best products for longevity so you don't need to spend time touching up your make-up whilst missing your own wedding!
