What is your most memorable wedding?
A wedding at Shrigley Hall hotel where all the bridesmaids had broken down on the way to the venue and I had to go and rescue them by picking them up and still make sure they were all ready in time.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Smokey, Flawless, Classical, Perfected
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very proud of the team I have created at Absolutely Flawless. Not only are they super talented, but very importantly they are such lovely people. People that will go the extra mile and make a positive memory to a brides special day and not just someone that does a job before the fun starts.
We are now a multiple award winning business, but our first Win in 2018 at The English Hair and Beauty awards is still a favourite. It allowed us to grow to where we now regularly perform over 800 weddings per year across the North West, and hopefully 800 smiles too.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book early, it's strange really you think you have loads of time to get everything arranged and before you know it, there is only a few months left. Another reason to book early is a good artist or stylist will have as many bridal trials in her diary as weddings, and the good trial dates are like gold dust in Peak Season.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Where the groom had a paper flower arrangement made, and in the folds of the paper were old pictures of relatives that had passed on, relatives who were really special to them both.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
You would firstly enquire via our website where we would check availability and send you a personalised quote.
The wedding date is then reserved with our team for 7 days so you can relax in making your decision.
You are welcome to chat to me about any details or make any amendments within that time.
To secure your booking you would log into your secure booking area to view and confirm your quote. Then follow the instructions to making the deposit payment via SAGEPAY with your credit or debit card.
Your artist would then contact you and be with you every step of the way from trial, to the wedding day ensuring the day runs smoothly for you.
What do you love most about your job?
As cheesy as it sounds I love making brides look and feel amazing on their wedding day, putting them at ease at every stage as I know how stressful it can be. I like to be like the brides hair & makeup fairy godmother :)
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Always used a primer if you want a photo finished makeup look. (Smashbox is my current favourite) it will keep your makeup on all day and will smooth out most imperfections like open pores and fine lines. It is a miracle in a tube.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I think its important to stay calm and confident so the bride knows she is in great hands. She can then sit back and relax knowing its one less thing to worry about.
I also talk if the bride wants to about anything that is making her nervous, as I can usually alleviate her fears as I have done weddings for over 20 years.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Just smile... the hair and makeup will stay looking as good as it did at the start of the day till the last dance. The only thing that would need touching up would be the lipstick which we provide a complimentary lipstick pot and brush with the lip colour used.
