Vila Gale Albacora

I didn't stay here overnight, only had drinks on the terrace. The history if the hotel is very special. It used to be a settlement for tuna fishers and their families. There is a small exhibition with pictures.

Absolutely fantastic. Happened across this hotel while looking for a beach, decided to book a room and it was the best decision I made during my visit to Portugal. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself includes an outside and inside pool, Turkish bath, sauna and jacuzzi all included in the price. Food was good (price included breakfast), and drink was also good. The hotel is next to the water and a short boat trip gets you to Tavira Island which has a beautiful beach...

I went to an event here. The hotel seems very pleasant but it is very remote. It must be a very peaceful experience. You definitely need a car. Looks like there are excellent walks along the salt pans, and you are very near the ferry to the Ilha de Tavira and some nice restaurants. The Grand Plaza shopping centre is a short drive away.

Wow, what can I say about this incredible place? I was here for 5 days for a wedding, and every single one of the 40+ people that were in our party had an excellent time. The rooms are lovely and well-kept, the on-site bars and restaurants are brilliant, and the staff work incredibly hard to ensure guests have a great stay. Special mention to Marco, who is possibly the greatest barman I have ever met.He has a charm and charisma that any hotel would be lucky to have and is always willing to go...
