Taking inspiration from the grana-covered cactus, Grana embraces Oaxaca for its rich colors, flavors and traditions.
Our 18th Century property plays with old and new Mexican architecture, breathing new life into every space with local artwork, pottery and other thoughtful design elements. Made by three proud Mexican friends with a shared enthusiasm for Oaxaca, we adopt a homey, casual approach to family-style hospitality in everything we do.
Picture morning yoga on the rooftop, followed by a cup of locally-harvested coffee in the open-sky courtyard with your favorite book in hand, the views of Santo Domingo and the Sierra Norte always spark joy. Expect to savor hearty regional breakfasts made at the comal by all female Oaxacan cooks before venturing out for the day. No trip to Oaxaca is complete without a sip of Oaxacan hot chocolate and a good taste of mole!
Taking the time to celebrate special moments is an important part of who we are, our house features an intimate inner courtyard that can accommodate special happenings year round.
