STYLE & DESIGN Built in the mid-19th century by Prince Don Filippo Orsini, the Britannia Hotel is housed in an elegant building near Via Nazionale, Rome. The property is located in the Repubblica district near the Roman Forum of the emperor Trajan. The city centre can be reached in 5 minutes on foot, while the Roma Termini railway station is 700 meters away. The hotel offers exclusive promotions and also free Wi-Fi. SERVICES A vast sweet and savoury American-style breakfast buffet is served every day with vegetables, cold cuts, sausages and eggs. The conscientious staff operate a 24-hour reception, and are available to book trips and also galleries and museums. We stayed one night at this hotel on our last night in Rome before we flew back to the States. It was great for one night, but not sure we would've enjoyed it as much if we'd stayed longer. The hotel is certainly older and the area at night can get a little sketchy, particularly if you are walking to or from the Termini station. The young lady who checked us in was incredibly helpful, making sure we were aware of the airport strikes, scheduling a wake-up call, and putting a note [...]We stayed one night at this hotel on our last night in Rome before we flew back to the States. we loved it!we loved it!
My family and I stayed at Britannia Rome for 4 days and we loved it! The location is less than 15 minutes (by walking) to the train station with many restaurants near by. The attractions (Trevi foundation & the Colosseum) were close by so it was amazing. But the staff made all the difference in our stay! From the moment we checked in, the reception desk were so attentive and kind and all the staff at breakfast were also so nice! No complaints at all, would stay here again when I visit Rome!My family and I stayed at Britannia Rome for 4 days and we loved it! A very good hotel, quite central, it was a long walk to the Vatican City but everything else was very near. Breakfast was good, very yummy with lots of different options. The beds were comfy, I think they were memory foam, I slept well every night. I think the rooms also block out the noise as you cannot hear the busy streets of Rome. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, I would definitely return.A very good hotel, quite central, it was a long walk to the Vatican City but everything else was very near.
