Even the most skeptical guests were surprised and pleased with the quality of the food. The party was beautiful and was well coordinated in every detail. We took advantage of all its settings throughout the day (aperitif in the orchard, lunch in the courtyard, party in the big square). The ceremony took place in our lush Italian garden, with the golden sunset casting a magical glow. The reception featured long, candle-lit tables in the historic courtyard, where guests enjoyed a curated menu by our chef, highlighting local ingredients and timeless flavors. The night ended with live traditional Pizzica music and a gorgeous pizza party, bringing everyone together for a vibrant, unforgettable celebration of love and culture.

Stay true to your vision. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with trends and expectations, but your wedding should be a reflection of who you are as a couple. Focus on the details that truly matter to you—whether it’s an intimate atmosphere, a meaningful menu, or a specific type of entertainment. And most importantly, enjoy the journey—planning should be just as magical as the wedding day itself!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of the most touching personal touches we’ve seen was when a couple wrote individual handwritten notes to each guest, placed at their seats. It was such a heartfelt way to make everyone feel special and appreciated. Another beautiful moment was a surprise serenade from the groom to the bride, accompanied by a live string quartet—there wasn’t a dry eye among the guests!

The historic courtyard, framed by centuries-old walls and illuminated by soft, warm lights, is absolutely breathtaking at sunset. Another iconic spot is our Italian garden, where lush greenery and delicate florals create a dreamy, natural backdrop. And of course, the ancient archways and rustic stone facades offer countless opportunities for cinematic, timeless wedding portraits
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have had (and we will have in the next wedding season) the pleasure of hosting well-known figures in the fashion and culinary world, as well as artists who fell in love with the charm of Casina Calò. Discretion is key for us, but we can certainly say that our venue attracts those who seek exclusivity, authenticity, and a deep connection with Italian heritage.
What’s your favourite canapé?
A delicate bite of burrata with sun-dried tomatoes and basil-infused olive oil—simple yet bursting with the flavors of Salento. Our chef’s signature prawn tartare with citrus zest is also a guest favorite even if our chef's risotto is a must!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A warm, freshly baked pasticciotto—a traditional Salento pastry filled with velvety custard. Served with a shot of espresso or a sip of local amaro, it’s the perfect way to end the night on a sweet note
